Daniel Rondeau, born in Le Mesnil sur Oger in the heart of the Côte des Blancs ( Champagne region) in 1948, was elected to theAcadémie Française on June 06, 2019.
He is a French writer, editor, journalist and diplomat.
Daniel Rondeau is the author of over 30 works, including novels, texts on literature and history, autobiographical books and city portraits.
In 1998, he was awarded the Grand Prix de Littérature Paul Morand.
His books have been translated into several languages, and he is much loved abroad.
In 2017, he was awarded the Grand Prix du Roman de l'Académie Française for "Mécaniques du chaos".
A Champenois who is making a name for himself in ways other than champagne, and we in Champagne love it all the more that he has more than succeeded!!!!
