Le nombre de winegrowers from Champagne certifiés BIO est en croissance, bien que la proportion actuelle soit faible. Seulement 3 % de la surface viticole champenoise est certifiée BIO, avec 158 winegrowers sur 16 000. Cependant, le changement s'accélère, avec une augmentation de 42 % du nombre de domaines certifiés entre 2012 et 2023. Les grandes Maisons de champagne rejoignent également le mouvement, bien que certaines exploitations adoptent des pratiques plus durables sans obtenir la certification BIO.
