The House of Champagne Larmandier-Bernier, établie à Virtues depuis la Révolution française, produit du champagne since 1846, gagnant une renommée précoce pour leur champagne Cramant Nature. In 2021the House of champagne Larmandier-Bernier received the Robert Parker Green Emblem pour son engagement envers des pratiques durables. Depuis 1988, Pierre Larmandier s'attache à l'expression pure des terroirs, adoptant la biodynamics in 1999 après avoir abandonné les produits chimiques en 1992.

Le domaine, certifié biological depuis 2003, pratique un long élevage sur lies en fûts et foudres. Le vignoble de 18 hectares, situé dans la Côte des Blancs, comprend Virtues (Premier Cru) et les Grands Crus with Cramant, Chouilly, Ogerand Avize, composé principalement de chardonnay (90%) et pinot noir (10%). La biodynamics, le labour, l'utilisation d'huiles essentielles, et des vendanges manuelles à pleine maturité caractérisent leur approche. La vinification, avec des levures indigènes depuis 1999, se fait en fûts sans soutirage ni filtration, mettant en avant le terroir.The House of champagne Larmandier-Bernier est classée 4e meilleure entreprise de vinification de Champagne selon la Revue du Vin de France, saluée pour son travail dans le vignoble, l'adoption de la biodynamics, et la qualité de ses vintages peu ou pas dosées. Sophie et Pierre Larmandier estiment que pour créer un Grand Champagne, il faut respecter les règles tout en étant prêt à les transcender. Ils pratiquent la sélection massale (méthode de sélection génétique des plans qu'ils greffent) pour préserver la qualité du vignoble, favorisant la plantation de greffons coupés sur leurs meilleures vignes plutôt que de les acheter. Une approche risquée, mais elle contribue à maintenir une production de haute qualité, surtout avec des vines très anciennes.
