Champagne DOM PERIGNON ~ Vintage 2013 ~ Bottle

The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013 with box from the Dom Pérignon Champagne House is a champagne blend made from Chardonnay(Côte des Blancs) and Pinot Noir (Montagne de Reims), whose 2013 harvest is the only year used in the bottle. 2013 was a year in which the Champagne region had to cope with unusual climatic conditions: a very long winter marked by snow and frost, a timid, rainy spring, and a very sunny summer dotted with violent storms. The start of the harvest was marked by Indian summer weather. Then, from October 4-5, a wave of cold and humidity set in until the end of the harvest. Overall, the year went well for Chardonnay. Situations were more mixed for Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir.

Bright, golden color.
On the nose, notes of mirabelle plum, licorice and slightly mentholated aromas.
On the palate, an active, invigorating wine, elegant and precise with saline notes.
