CHAMPAGNE ROBERT MONCUIT
At the end of the 19th century, Alex Moncuit owned the family vineyards of Le Mesnil sur Oger and Oger Grand Cru (Côte des Blancs). His grandson Robert made the very first champagnes between the two world wars. In 2000, Françoise Amillet, daughter of Robert Moncuit, entrusted the vinification to her son Pierre.

The champagnes of the operation must be chardonnay (Blanc de Blancs) and are marketed worldwide. Pierre is aware that he must takes care of its land and preserve its terroir, and it's for this reason that aa weedkiller is applied. On the other hand, it leaves room for ploughing which promotes rooting and soil microbial life. Its operation has become a clean, sustainable operationWe use very few chemicals and no insecticides, a real return to our roots. At Pierre's, the grapes are harvested by hand, and the plots are pressed separately to preserve their individual character.
