Veuve Clicquot' s Rich Brut sans étui is a champagne champagne d'assemblage made with 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and pinot meunier and 15% Chardonnay. The union of the 3 Champagne grape varieties enables the wine to express luscious cherry and citrus notes, all with a fresh, unctuous balance. The first champagnes (along with Rich) were designed to be enjoyed with ice and fresh ingredients. Historically, Rich was the name given to wines blended to create sweet champagnes. Recently found Veuve Clicquot bottles dating from 1840 even contained almost 150 grams of sugar per liter. Historically in Russia, consumers added sugar to their champagne, adding a personal touch to their wine.
Maison Veuve Clicquot's Rich Brut sans étui was designed to liven up aperitifs. It sublimates the most festive of gustatory moments.
This three-step ritual lets you let your imagination run wild. The principle is simple: simply place a few ice cubes in the bottom of a wine glass, add the ingredient of your choice (pineapple, grapefruit zest, cucumber, celery, bell pepper, tea) and pour in RICH champagne.
