Maison Delamotte's Brut Tradition without case is a champagne made from a blend of blend of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. Pinot meunier gives Brut Tradition power without aggressiveness, pleasant freshness, supple roundness and a clean, fruity finish. This Brut Champagne is extremely pleasant, well-balanced and elegant. Each grape variety plays its part in blending the wine, with Chardonnay in the majority laying the foundations of its structure, while Pinot Noir provides depth and fruitiness. A touch of pinot meunier, the least acidic grape variety, adds aromatic density. After 30 to 36 months' ageing on the lees, a slight dosage is added to Champagne Delamotte Brut, as to the entire Delamotte range.
To the eye, a lovely light golden color.
On the nose, fresh, expressive aromas of lemon, white flowers, honeysuckle, acacia and pomelo.
On the palate, unctuous freshness and supple effervescence, with a straightforward finish underlined by lemony fragrances.
Maison Delomotte's Brut Tradition sans étui is a generous champagne, and any excuse is a good one to enjoy such an indispensable wine in the cellar. As an aperitif, but also with a fruit entremet.
